“We see Pita everywhere.” This is something that we have heard time and time again from clients, vendors, peers and prospective clients. My response: “We don’t really advertise; we just give.”
Not that there is anything wrong with advertising — after all, it’s the business that we are in. But for a small creative group like ours, the strategy that garners us the most attention is being philanthropic. We sponsor events, we donate money, we support program books and we serve on many board and committees. The list is endless.
Don’t get me wrong – we don’t give to get recognized. That just happens to be an added benefit to what we contribute. We give because we care about our community and those who are in it.
As early as 1996 when we opened the Pita doors, we have been donating time and money to charities and non-profit organizations. We are consistently filling tables of 10 at events that focus on women, children, arts, education, social services and economic development. We also donate our creative services when we can.
We are thankful to be part of a community of givers and to see the impact that we make each and every day.
As you reflect on what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving week, think about giving to a cause or a charity, a school or a non-profit organization. Giving feels really good — and for that, I guarantee you will be most grateful.
