As photos and video increasingly take center stage on the Web, Pita Account Executive Sandy Frayler explores LinkedIn’s new, highly visual feature.
It’s no secret that within the last couple of years, a huge shift in how people and brands communicate has taken place. Studies show that people retain information for longer periods of time when they see versus hear or read it. And then there’s the fact that we live in a world in which time is of the essence. We want information and we want it quickly!
Whatever the reason, visual communication is key when speaking to all ages. It’s evident if you stop and really look around – visuals and videos are being used more and more across a variety of media to tell stories or simply share facts. Are they now becoming a requirement for resumes, too?
LinkedIn recently expanded its services, now providing professionals the ability to visually enhance their professional portfolio. According to a recent post on LinkedIn’s blog, the network is now offering Professional Profiles – a visual display of your work samples.
